Once again Jake is opening the doors of the Aircooled Technology facilities to our club. As most of you know, this only happens for our club. Jake usually sends visitors packing.
Make your plans now and post here if you have a project you want to work on. It can be small to large....it doesn't matter. There is a lift, engine dyno, chassis dyno, and work space. Bring your VW, parts, (Call Clyde well in advance to be sure you have what you need), tools, rags, and cans of brake cleaner. Jake doesn't supply tools or disposable goods.
Bring food, drink, chairs, and your sleeping bag. There is a shower in building #3.
Please post if you are coming even if you aren't bringing a project, we need to know how many to plan for.
Jake's shop is located in Cleveland Ga. _________________ 73 Typ481

I'll be there. I'd like to replace my engine/tranny mounts and fine tune my carbs on the dyno. I had a great time last year and am looking forward to it. |

It will be fun, as always!
I will have something on site that will blow everyone's mind... I just have to make it run again between now and then :-)
We'll have a selection of fine wild meats available for lunch and etc, to include venison, wild pork, buffalo and if things work out right maybe some wild turkey, like last year :-) If you prefer domestic, we'll have some North GA BBQ as well.
I'll be working on my 356 this year and will hopefully have the engine built and ready to install over tech weekend!
You don't have to have something to work on to come and hang out! Oh yeah, on Sunday afternoon we'll open up the Raby rifle range, so bring your weapons if you want to exercise the second amendment while you still can. _________________ Jake Raby

I plan on working with Kris (KleineVW) to put regular rubber tranny mounts back on his Bug, get his jetting healthy, and hopefully weld some bump stops back on his rear frame. Anyone better at welding is welcome to demonstrate their talent on his bug while I watch _________________ '69 Bug, 1776, dual kadrons, Web 111 cam

I'll be there, looking forward to it as always, I'd like to get my emergency brake working and adjust my brakes, It pulls to one side slightly.
I'm debating about replacing the windshield seal in the bus as well. I plan on patching any holes with jbweld or something similar. Any thoughts? _________________ 1969 Beetle

If I am able to drive my bus by then, I was also thinking about windshield replacement and JB weld rust repair. _________________ 73 Typ481

Should get some POR 15 to treat the rusted areas before you put any JB weld in. _________________ 73 Super

What type of supplies (besides welding in new metal) would be needed if we were going to do the rust remediation and windshield repair? I have a very good quality seal on order. I'll be happy to bring enough supplies for both projects, I just need to know what/how much. _________________ 1969 Beetle

Jon drinks Becks and Joe drinks Natural Light. How much to get? It depends on how well you want the repair to go... _________________ '69 Bug, 1776, dual kadrons, Web 111 cam

Besides POR 15 a wire brush and good primer and a small size rope to put the windsheild back in. Hope I can make up there, need to see when Debbie is coming home.
I don't get to sloppy til after the first case.
P.S. and hope it not rusted to bad _________________ 73 Super

Hey,...that's the same answer I was going to give.
Wire wheel for drill, sand paper, self etching primer, jb weld, POR 15 _________________ 73 Typ481
