Nope...not a champagne edition just a plain ole '74 bus.
Had the full width rear seat and the 3/4 middle seat.
I don't have any good pics of the interior before i started but it looked sorta like this.......

I put my spare engine in the bus so that I might have her back on the road in time to drive to Jake's tech weekend and then to Bug-a-paluza. Mike and I put the engine and tranny in. Little Jon hooked up the CVs and cleaned the underside of the engine. I put on new fuel lines and Clyde figured out the loose wires. It fired right up and shot acorns out the open heater boxes at Clyde. Jon and I put the muffler on tonight and I give her a road test tomorrow. _________________ 73 Typ481

OK, so tonight I cranked up my new old engine. She smoked for a bit then cleared up. She runs good, but idles a little fast. The alternator light is on as is the EGR light. There was a small gas leak that I fixed. It sounds like there may be an exhuast leak at the head on the driver's side, but not at the muffler. There is also an oil leak.
At least I have plenty to do. _________________ 73 Typ481

Put a peice of duck tape on the other side of the alt light. You'll never know it's on and you can't see the duck tape through the light gel |

I put a pressure regulator with a gauge on my bus. It seems to have helped smooth out my idle. I'm going to go through my carbs at Volkstock. _________________ 73 Typ481

OK, let's get this thread going again.
Joe, Johnny, Greg, Bob, Jimbear, James, Darrell, John....let us know what is going on with your bus. I left Mike off the list because he has his own thread and IS keeping it updated.
If you have a bus and I left you off the list, please forgive me and post about your bus.
My bus needs the alternator situation sorted out and I am working on it presently. It also has an oil leak that only seems to occur once I turn the engine off. Drains for a minutes or two then it stops. I also have a rattling sound when the engine is running. It hasn't been identified yet but, the most likely explanation that has been suggested is that the collar the throw-out bearing rides on has come loose and is spinning and moving. Yee-haw, I get to pull the engine again. _________________ 73 Typ481
