I know it sounds simple but most things are, if you know what you are doing. Is there a secret to getting the top to close without having to pull down on it that last little bit? I'm trying to learn the right way because before, if it ripped, I didn't care. I do now.

Make sure you're not catching or pinching any of the fabric, I pull it in as I pull down on the top handle. It can be helpful to have someone outside make sure no canvas is poking out. JM

Just take it slow as Mackay said " make sure you are not catching or pinching any of the fabric". Closing the top is not a fast process. You need to take your time and constantly adjust the canvas right up to the point where you engage your latches and after walk around the bus looking for exposed fabric. Speed will come with practice.
