The tank on the '67 Beetle was sending rusty gas to the filter and engine. Upon inspection the tanks is not too bad on the inside from what I can see. Any quickie solutions to cleaning and getting this back in? Looking to avoid anything to intensive if I can avoid it...ideally just a quick clean and install. I'll bring it to VolksFest for folks to check out.

Put a piece of chain and/or some sharp gravel in it and shake it around until your arms want to fall off. Empty and rinse it. Visually check to see if everything loose has come out. If it has, rinse it once more with water and then with mineral spirits to chase out the last of the water and prevent new rust. Keep it full of gas to stop new rust.

Inge's tank on the 73 Beetle had pin holes in the bottom of it.
They did some patching and then cleaned and sealed the entire inside of the tank for $125.00.

Here is their address/#:

Can someone post a pic of the '67? I'd be interested as well. JM
