Hey all,

I'm re-ringing the typeIV 1.7l engine in my '72 914 (its an EA block). The p/o installed big jugs and 96mm Keith Black pistons (by my micrometer they seem more like 95mm pistons but I've yet to see a 95mm set of KB pistons sold so I'm assuming that they're 96mm). Question for the club is what rings can I use on these pistons and where can I find them?

Thanks

Those are the proper KB96mm rings. Pay VERY close attention to the instructions as you can easily flip the rings in the lands. These will more than likely need to be gapped out of the box.

I'll get to the cars and coffee at some pint.. Trying to finish my new shop before the end of November, so it takes every extra minute I have.

I hear you...I'm moving shops starting the middle of Nov. Its only a few blocks away but the looming task of sorting and getting everything over is not something I'm looking forward to. Good luck with the move, we'll see you soon.

I'm not moving the shop... Everything stays the same at the business... I am building my own shop to work from away from the distractions that come with other humans being in the building..

And its a place where I can work on my own cars and engines, and store all my cars without taking up other shop space at the business.

Luckily I have to "move" very little down to the new place, other than cars. The rest of it is all new :-)
