Anyone know if Mike/Savannah are planning to attend this years event? Trying to strategize accommodations for the good of everyone involved. I am thinking they may get Gary's RV instead of the rooms inside the front of our house. That would put Pat and Johnny in the 2 front bedrooms. Mr PRESIDENT - You know if they are coming?
Steve - Either with Clyde and Wilson or you bunk above the swamp with Greg as we could accommodate 2 up there also! - (Greg likes to SNUGGLE I hear)

I certainly plan to be there with small ponies in tow. Not sure Gary would want them in his ship. If the 2nd front bedroom is still available we wouldn't mind. Or anywhere else there will be AC.
Also, I plan on bringing my Thing for a dash wiring problem... _________________ '58 RHD 2110cc Beetle

So no Savannah this year Mike?
As far as Gary's RV - (UPDATE) - Gary dropped by yesterday and said he is in the beginning/middle of putting a new TRANSMISSION in it. Isn't life grand? But he did say it would be ready in time for V-10.
Gary - You have any issues with Mike and 2 ponies (big dogs) staying in your RV? If so, Mike and the 2 "ponies" will be in one of the rooms in the house.
Let me know.

Apparently Gary's RV is more valuable then my home.
Pat and Johnny are nestling in Gary's RV.
Mike, Svannah and pets are in the 2 front rooms in the house - (#1 and #2).
All we got left inside is the living room sofa if anyone else needs a provided sleeping arrangement. Of course we have plenty of FREE "rustic" spaces for all of those in tents, buses, etc.

Ken and Inge, thanks again in advance for hosting!!
I'd like to get on the waiting list for the fold out in the Class A, where I was last year and wait list me for a room in the house if one opens up. I can't believe I missed getting in on one of those, such a slacker Short of that, I'll take the sofa in the house.
Regarding work, well, this is what I'd like to accomplish. Some may get done beforehand, most likely the wheel noise issue--
~Get blower fan connected and operational in engine bay
~Repair big dent in rear corner
~Address exhaust leak
~Address squelly/grindy noise emanating from the right rear wheel area
~A biggie: Readdress the height/reset rear torsion back to stock
~Another biggie: I would very much like to drop the engine, clean the engine bay, remediate some rust in the battery trays, replace fuel lines, add a Blazecut, attach CHT Gauge, and reassemble.
~If anyone is bored or does not want something to do that is greasy, I'd also like to scrape off the tint on my windows with a razor blade.
Any thoughts? It's a big list. Anyone willing to dedicate some time? You help me, I beer (or soda) you. _________________ "A vision without a task is a dream - a task without a vision is drudgery- but a task with vision can change the world."

Jim,what time can you get there Friday? It sounds like we should have you in one of the front two work areas. Are you able to stay all weekend? _________________ 73 Typ481

I will be there ASAP on Friday (no later than 3:30) to get started and will be there all weekend. Compiling "needs" list and placing orders this weekend.
Question--Does anyone have expertise/experience with the rear torsion? I had "guidance" last time, when I raised it for no reason... _________________ "A vision without a task is a dream - a task without a vision is drudgery- but a task with vision can change the world."

I could sure use some help instilling pop out windows in my 63. Its definitely not a one-man operation. I plan to be back in Georgia sometime around August 9. Will let you know if that changes! _________________ 63 Beetle |

Jim - We will definitely have a place for you in our home. We will do our best to make a comfortable place for you in the house A/C.
Sounds like you are going to be the star of the show this year. Happy to know V10 is the time and place for your wish list items.
(PS - I am a good helper and can make myself available for you to use and abuse)

Other scheduled projects:
Rebuilding CV joints - Joe leads this
Window regulator rejuvenating - Bob G. leading if he is able to attend
Little Jon's bug - whatever still remains to get him on the road. I'm sure there will still be some wiring issues to sort. Window regulators, replace vent windows, replace pop-out latch, maybe bumpers, attach deck-lid, and so on........
Clyde's clutch issues?
What/who else?
Ken, are we doing Tweety's headliner??? _________________ 73 Typ481
