No self righteous VW owner would rip the limbs off a German and replace them with an inferior material. Get a sand rail or old out for a classic Tito.

While I agree that one should not cut up a solid bug, I'd like to say I love baja bugs. I had one for years and would like another one. If one has already been made into a baja or if a bug is wrecked and a baja kit will give it new life; go for it. They will go anywhere and they are still road worthy and versatile. Cool

hey tito, baja bugs are fun , i would not cut up a great shape bug, but i am from philly area and the bugs up north due to weather- well salt they use tears up the cars--if u found a bug that already needed work go for it and baja it make it YOUR OWN !!!. that is the fun of this . i had 3 bajas and i beat the s**t out of them , i waent place the big trucks would not fit, they throw big mud with good size mud tires on back--i used snow tires for the fronts and i want to say 31s mudders on the back with the classic white wagon wheels, i have a pick of it somewhere!!! anyway like i said have fun wikth it --- i know of a bug in winder that is for sale right off ao the main street , call me we can check it out sometime -678-863-0885 see ya later scott

I guess I should have explained myself. If you find one in that condition, go for it. I thought you were wanting to rip one up.

Here are a couple of local VDUBS

This one; she has been sited by the county and I bet you could get a real deal. Needs work but a deal none the less.

And keep in mind, I think Jon still has a nice 60 for sale. Not sure of your budget but I'll keep my eyes peeled. I'm in the market for a Westy.

The second Samba ad is Mark Opel. He is a member of our club and on this site fairly often. I used to own the bus he is selling. Very Happy It would be a cool project. It just needs the engine installed and maybe a few other things.

Speaking of Things, Scott is right about a Thing being the ultimate Baja. They do be cool. I wish I had one......OH wait I DO have one. Laughing
