how difficult would it be to replace these? could i do it on my own? i know id have to remove the body....well, that kinda answers the question of alone haha. anyhoo, have any of you ever done it before? ive found a 77 standard that i like (except the front fenders) and it needs new floor pans. the guy has replacement pans for it but im curious about how difficult it is to do.

I just did my first set on my 73 standard. Not too bad. I did it body on,There are a few places youhave to trim the new pans and they slide in like butta. Then you Just tack weld every 6 inches or so and seal any small gaps with cualk and great stuff foam. I painted both sides with rubberized under coating. It took about 10 hours, but this was at my shop with air tools. A good sawsall, die grinder, and air hammer will come in very handy.

It is not that hard, make sure you get a quality set of pans tho. They will be more sturdy and will fit better. The last set I did was with the body on, it is a little more difficult but still can be done.
