I am in the middle of rebuilding my carb and when I started to put the automatic choke back on I noticed that there was an awful lot of space between the auto choke ring and the carb body. I see that there was suppose to be a spacer there. They were not there before so: 1. How important are they? 2. Any ideas for a rig or perm fix? What are they made of?

They're made of nylon or delrin or some kind of plastic. The hole is .160" (3/16" will work) and the length is .200"
Check Luke's Hardware store for "spacers" or "stand offs." I know they have aluminum ones, hopefully they also have plastic. _________________ '69 Bug, 1776, dual kadrons, Web 111 cam

Could you be a little more specific?

Just an FYI. The semi hard, heat resistant tubing that feeds the shut off valve in an air compressor works perfectly. And NO, my compressor did not take one for the team, I had some extra from a busted line. _________________ 71 Standard Beetle "Big Bird"
