Sunday, August 24th. We'll start at 9am, like last year.
This is a show and shine, with new and used parts vendors.
Again, our club will be in charge of concessions. I'll get the food and drinks at Sams. We need a bunch of people to rotate out grilling burgers, and a person or two to serve plates and collect $
Anyone want to make a few signs to stick in the ground at intersection near Joey's?
We'll need a few EZ ups and tables and a grill or two.
I guess we'll have a few people's choice awards?
Let me know if you can help, or have any input. _________________ '69 Bug, 1776, dual kadrons, Web 111 cam

So what type of show is this exactly? Do I have to shine my bus before I come  ? _________________ Ted Mierzwa

Ted, Why do you ask? It's not like you'll show up anyway.
For those who might show up, yes, shine up those VWs. It is a free event. Show your car, swap meet, camp, eat, and see your VW friends as well as touring Joey's shop.
As Clyde mentioned, there may be some fun awards, but no real judging. Bring out whatever VW you have and let it be seen.
I'll help cook (and bring a grill) and I have an E-Z up. _________________ 73 Typ481

If you were truly a nurseryman you would have been at the tradeshow where I was.
It is a miricle it fit your sleepyhead schedule to make it to the campout.....which, by the way was FAR from being a Major club event. (we've never seen you at one of those)
I'm still taking bets on whether or not you make it to Volkstock.

I ordered the kits tonight from a guy on the Samba who is much cheaper than CB. (thanks Clyde) I asked him to ship so that I have them by Thursday. _________________ 73 Typ481

Cool.. Get a gallon of the most lethal carb cleaner you can find and I'll bring some gadgetry...
Remember: If it won't kill ya, its not going to work very well. _________________ Jake Raby

The last can of carb cleaner I bought was pretty lethal. I let parts soak for several hours on a hot summer day...sealed the lid... came back to pry the lid off...it shot a mile high...it was a good thing I had my head out of the way
Jake, that sure is a pretty engine. I told my wife that I was gonna help Jon move an engine from the back of his truck...she was wondering why a had a white tee shirt on rather than my grease stained typical North vs. South rag. I told her that I was sure that the engine was cleaner than our kitchen! I was right.
I don't think you'll have to ride Jon very much. He cannot wait to stab that engine in the Thing and roll
Allaroundrestos show and shine - I'll bring a pop up tent and my grill. Clyde, I'll help you get the food and I'll grill at the show.
I'll do the same for Volkstock next weekend. _________________ Steve

That's cool Tito, we also need people to sell the food. Your happy, smiling face should attract hundreds of people to us. _________________ 73 Typ481
