FYI- drop spindles make the track approximately 3/4" wider on each side, which makes the tires rub the fenders. Many people run skinny tires and/or have the beam narrowed to remedy this problem. What works for me is early Porsche Riviera wheels which tuck into the car more- due to their offset. Scott just put on a set of "smart car" tires 155-60-15 size, which have fixed the problem even while using the stock wheels.

Anyone got a diiferent slant on the issue?

sorry clyde -i didnt get a chance to add a post yet--yesterday was the first day i took a passenger and it past the test -no rubbing tires feel great on highway-little bumpy on reg roads but 100% happy with them---got them from the tire rack i think 60.00 each
