Drive at a speed where the car doesn't shake. 38, 47, whatever works.
J.K.
Kneel in front of each front tire and yank on them, both hands at 12 o'clock. Any movement? (ball joints). Now 9 and 3 o'clock. any movement or clunking? (tie rods). How's the steering stabilizer? If it passes these OK, the tires most likely need balancing. _________________ '69 Bug, 1776, dual kadrons, Web 111 cam

I had the same problem on my '66. I almost guarantee it's the steering dampener. Clyde has/had them. Around $20 and easy to install. _________________ The Slumlord
