Ok...looks like I will be getting these powdercoated. I know that factory correct is painted, but I am not out to have a 100 point car. They have been rattle can silver for as long as I can remember and I may go with a similar color but wondering what the correct color is.

Hot Pink...umm maybe if I was going for the Barbie look.

White...I will have to think about this.

L97U is the official designation. The mix specs are not usually available at any auto paint shop. It is basically a silver grey color. I used a Duplicolor silver metallic wheel paint in a rattle can followed by clear coat also in a rattle can. The clear coat is a SEM brand found at PPG paint dealer in Athens. Hope that helps.

It's more of a medium gloss. Not dull nor real shiney.
