Hey everybody I have a Super that currently has a fried Alternator. I happen to have a good Generator and Regulator in storage. I was wondering what would be the draw backs of installing the generator instead of the alternator. And what steps will be involved in doing it.

Thanks

Hey, there is a place up here in Cornelia that will rebuild that alt. cheaper than all the trouble to go to a gen. Besides. the alt. is the best thing for that little car especially if you got any kind of a sound system.

Typical rebuild 40 to 60 bucks, drive to a shop, either drop off or exchange, then potentially return to pick up or................go to the local parts house, give them 65 bucks, get a two year warranty and call it a day.

I'm like shit water in a pipe...............path of least resistance!
