hey all! i just put in a pointless ign . so far i am impressed, smoother thru the power band- did not see more horsepower or faster speeds but it ran smoother- very easy to put in also- it is a pertronix ignitor kit.

has anyone used this set up and an pro-or cons to it!!

Cons: If ever a wire or wires fall off, be damn sure where they go. One microsecond of reversed voltage and the unit is fried.

I use them and love them. It wouldn't hurt to keep a set of points in the glove box in case it lays down on you. Though I haven't had one fail.

Cons are that you dont get to spend as much time adjusting points Laughing .

Put them in and forget about them. I have them in one of mine and MSD in tghe other. Dont ever plan to go back to points.

Keep the directions in your glovebox- so you never have to guess where the wires go.

And keep a condenser with your backup points also.
