Hi,
I just purchased a 1974 vw bus and the wiring is only just started. The new wiring harness is hanging next to the old one but its a bit daunting to me. Anyone have a DVD or know someone who could give some tech support?
thanks,

Welcome to the website. There isn't an overwhelming number of responses to your need yet due to the fact that not many of us like to tackle wiring issues. Given a little time, I'm sure someone will offer some help.

I have laced together the 74 wiring diagram and I also own a 74. I am not able to help right now but if you have a question, fire away.

Did the harness come with directions? I would go one circuit at a time.

If there's no directions, leave the fuses out, and batt disconnected 'til everything is wired, or tape the unfinished wires while you test the circuits as you finish them...

Most of all, take your time. We're here.

RIP all that crap out and start from scratch.. Circuit by circuit one at a time. Clean all the connections on the fuse box and each bulb holder as well. Clean the contacts on the turn signal switch, dimmer switch and etc and ONLY use a VW dimmer switch and 4 way flasher.

You can't do a clean job with all that clutter and stuff in the way..
