|
|
Hey folks. Long time. I am hoping to see you guys at Jake's in a few weeks time!
I have a chance at some 36 Dell's and wanted to solicit your take on this being a good fit for my stock Type 4 1800. Also, if I were able to do a Camper Special kit/turnkey in the next few years , would these work for that or would I want bigger? My options are to keep and rebuild my Solex or trade my GOOD COND. Westy tent (that I will probably never use but is cool as a novelty) for the Dell's... Any opinions...?
And/or, do you think that $350 is a good deal for the 36's?
A lot to consider for a bus that is not on the road right now (but we are trying in theory)! _________________ "A vision without a task is a dream - a task without a vision is drudgery- but a task with vision can change the world."

Fact: A used carb is a used carb.
Fact: Most new carbs are like buying a used carb.
Fact: No matter what you get, it's best to go thru them.

I'll buy the Westy tent from you and you can buy carbs, beer, hookers, fruit, 50lbs of grits, Jesus toast or what ever blows your hair back.
Let me know. _________________ 71 Standard Beetle "Big Bird"

If you have never had dual carbs before, don't buy them for the heck of it if you are happy with a single. Most duals don't bolt on to a stock engine and work properly, that's why I referenced Jake about T-4. _________________ Tanbugwerks |

Hey Tan, I believe he is running dual solex carbs on a stock type 4. Looking to upgrade to Dells. I agree Jake is the one to best answer this. _________________ 73 Typ481

Sorry for the delay Scott... What are ya offering for the tent? It is in very good shape, all the pole are there-marked and in working order, basic instructions are included, with bag. I hate to get rid of this tent, but think I want the Dells... _________________ "A vision without a task is a dream - a task without a vision is drudgery- but a task with vision can change the world."

Depends on what you are looking at getting out of it. Depending on condition they are going from $200 to $700 for NOS. PM me with a number. _________________ 71 Standard Beetle "Big Bird"
