THE BENTLEY BOOK SAYS TO USE A VOLTMETER BETWEEN THE SENDER AND THE BATTERY. THE VOLTS SHOULD CHANGE AS YOU MOVE THE FLOAT UP AND DOWN.

Clean the row of contacts with muriatic acid on a cotton swab... Use baking soda to neutralize it when you are done, else the gauge could be "notchy" or inaccurate as it sweeps the full travel of the sender. _________________ Jake Raby
