Were any of ya'll in Athens when NOPI sold aircooled VW parts and a guy named Ivan worked at the Athens NOPI?

They used to be at Beechwood and Ivan knew his stuff about aircooled VWs. Then NOPI went to watercooled VWs and then worse yet they went to selling to tuners. Shooter

Yep... Around 1988-92 or around then. I used to bother the hell out of my dad to drive me to Athens to buy parts so I didn't have to deal with ordering them from JC Whitney!!
By the time I got out of the USMC in '98 they were almost completely out of aircooled parts.

There was a NOPI store in Augusta when I moved there from NJ back in '89. A guy named Skip used to manage it, and if they didn't have something he could get it for you.
Remember the show they used to have at Lakewood Fairgrounds? I used to go until it was overrun by Hondas Twisted Evil

I used to go the the one in Augusta on Wrightsboro Road near North Legg. Conyers had one too when I lived there in the 90's. They still had several vw parts like baja kits and chromed empi crap. I would go in there from time to time just to look around...I was vwless during the 90's unless you count my ex-wife's Fox and Jetta Smile

The last NOPI show at Lakewood that I went to around 92-93 had 3 vw's and 1 vw vendor. It was all about mini trucks and tuners that for some reason did not like the looks of wiring, so they covered it up neon colored flexy loom tubing...nice Very Happy
