We are going to NJ this week to pick up our new car. She's a 66 vert. Ironically, its only a few blocks away from where I bought Marlena back in 1978!

SWEET!!! Its real hard to beat a '66!! Ball joint front end, 1300 long stroke, small bore engine, etc...
66 is by far my favorite year, this one looks super clean and its a vert too!
Does it still have the 1300?? _________________ Jake Raby

Still has the original 1300 F block. 83434 original miles.
Florida car.
66 has always been my favorite too. I missed out on the identical
car before I bought my 72 'vert back in 1979
Can't wait to cruise through my hometown on Ocean Ave. top down Last time was Labor Day 1989! _________________ 63 Beetle |

That 1300 is just so damn good in so many ways!! I have gotten over 40 MPG from one! They never run hot, don't have flat spots and run forever! About the only thing that ever kills one is a dropped valve or pulled head stud! _________________ Jake Raby
