Jake, I haven't received a packet. I pre-registered with my name, but Mary's name is on the pay-pal.

We just finished emailing the final packets a few minutes ago.. We had last minute changes to the packets that needed to be made.

I'd like to have anyone here thats going to help on Sunday at a meeting at 4Pm on Saturday so we can have a briefing and assign tasks and get on the same page.

When you guys arrive saturday afternoon all the driveways will be taped off to keep people away that aren't invited, that may want to stop by and see the site of the show early. When you arrive pull up the paved driveway, untie the caution tape and come on in.. All of you are invited to the working party Saturday evening!!

Make sure you tie the tape back up behind you!!!!

With just two days remaining before the Aircooled Assault we have prepared the battlefield!!

NOTE: All public events are scheduled for June 5th, the June 4th event is a very small gathering of close friends and is by invitation only. The show site and all of Aircooled Heaven will be closed until 0700 Sunday morning, June 5th. (All Athens VW Club members are welcome to show up on the afternoon of the 4th and camp :-)

The engine that will be sacrificed in the name of Charity, with all proceeds going to the Wounded Warrior Project is now prepped for it's death by means of Nitrous Oxide!!

The chassis dyno is ready to challenge contestants to put their power to the rollers. "The Joker" is prepped and ready to illustrate what true HP really is from an aircooled engine.

We have finished a special project and are tuning it on the dyno today, if all goes well and the results are impressive enough, it will be an exhibition on the chassis dyno as well.
---------------
Here is the schedule for the day's events.
MORNING
8:00 A.M. Show Site Opens
9:30 A.M. Dyno Challenge Begins
11:00 A.M. Oil talk with Charles Navarro in building #3
11:45 A.M. Engine Dyno Demonstration- Test Cell#2

NOON
12:00 P.M. Lunch

AFTERNOON
1:30 P.M. Wounded Warrior Charity Engine Blow
2:30 P.M. Awards Presentation
4:00 P.M. Event Secures
--------------------------------------

This is shaping up to be a great event with a global attendance. We look forward to seeing you at Aircooled Heaven for the First Annual Aircooled Assault!

x2, the show was awesome!! (even tho the engine blow was a little anti-climatic. Wink) Maybe next year you could just dispatch the engine with some high-caliber firepower? Maybe something in an armor-piercing variety? Just a thought....... Twisted Evil

Thanks so much to the Athens VW Club for all the hard work today!! From manning the gates to helping after the show and everything in between, we could count on you!!

The engine blow wsn't what I expected, it lasted much longer. I have some Raufuss Incendiary rounds that would do the job!

Had a blast. Happy to be a part of it all. When the Ferrari pulled up, I kinda wanted to put him in the show, but then I thought "it has two radiators," and sent him to the spectator lot. BURN.

You can tell a lot about a person just by thier signature. The Ferrari guy felt it nessasary to take up four lines on the waver with his. He also parked his car in the spectator parking lot like he was the star attraction. Up front near the ticket booth at an angle. I told him that I was going to auction his car off. He though that was funny. Very Happy

Thanks again for all the help guys!!

The Ferrari was driven to the show by John Barrett from Athens.. John is an avid Porsche and Ferrari Collector and a super nice guy thats worked very hard to be successful enough to own those cars..

John's MassIVe powered Porsche 356 B Outlaw would have been at the show instead of the Ferrari if the electric fuel pump hadn't been acting up.

Here is John's 356 with RAT power. Its a bad ass car, had it been there it would have taken the Jake's Choice Award.
