Who here drives their VW EVERYDAY??
I know Jon puts a lot of miles on his 181 with the TIV in it. I need several more cars for a test fleet for gathering data for a project I am working on.
Does anyone else drive a VW a couple hundred miles per week?? Willing to pour some of this into it?
I need to gather some samples of this oil from some other engines than just those we have built. Volunteers? I need samples from the current oil and then we'll need samples of this oil as well every 1K miles. _________________ Jake Raby

I just changed the oil 2 weeks ago with the Green oil !
Does it need to be at a oil change?
Been a dailey driver since July 1 2010 have put about 7,300 miles on it since then.
I will be willing to do it if the Aircooled folks i know thinks its a good idea.
Clyde,Greg,Jon,anybody else i forgot.
I'm game !
Let me know
Thanks

I'm game! I just put in some fresh Brad Penn last Friday. My odometer doesn't work, but I can figure my mileage, or I can get my speedo fixed. Hey Tanbug! _________________ 73 Typ481

The baseline samples I need from the existing oil only need to have 500 miles on them for the elements to show up well enough.
I just need two more cars for monitoring and if both have been running Brad penn, thats best case scenario.
Jon, I can have some over at Beth's office for you first of the coming week. At this point its all coming to us in 5 gallon pails so I need to break that down so its easier to work with. We probably are going to sell it by the gallon, not so much by the quart.
It truly will be snake oil.. No label on it at all!
What weight Brad Penn are you guys running now?
What I need is oil and head temp info before and after, MPG and oil consumption. Also this is a partial synthetic, so we need to also compare oil leakage. If the engine leaks oil a tad now we need to see if that gets worse, stays the same or is better with this oil.
We have 3 flavors already perfected and have data from those, this 4th flavor is the final one and the one I need to get finished before cold weather arrives. _________________ Jake Raby

I'm running 20w-50 also. My oil rarely gets up to 180. It is usually just above 120.
A gallon at a time would be good. I've got 4 ACVWs.
How will this do in my diesel truck? I know you've said they have changed the formulation of Rotella.
Shane's daily is his bug. I'm sure he would be willing to try Snake Oil. He isn't running Brad Penn right now. _________________ 73 Typ481

Sure, I'm game. I was putting about 100 miles a day on mine til I made the leap but I still drive it all the time. So it should be a good guini pig. I run GTX 20w50 now so Snake Oil should be a nice upgrade _________________ Shane Price
