ok I have heard of several different ways to do this but was wondering what is the correct way. Do you filter the oil straight out the motor or do you run it to your coller first? Do you take the temp reading after it runs through the cooler or before? I f anybody has any input I would like to hear it.

thanks

My setup is filtered (full flow) before the stock cooler and from what i understand its best to gauge the temp in the sump since thats where the heated oil collects. If I am wrong about that someone please correct me.

You want the hottest oil to be sampled.

That means install the sender in the oil sump.
