Yep, 500.00 total.. The only thing that can cost more is safety gear.
If your car is too nice, they reserve the right to crush it, or buy it from you for 500.00
We are not racing, we plan on building a car for it and just want to go see what the event is like, how it is organized and etc.
They stop the race at the 1/2 way point and choose a car to crush at every race..

Trust me, know all about that.. We just received a BRAND NEW Boxster engine from Porsche to strip down and make bulletproof for the track.. Thats a 15K expenditure just to take it apart and spend more money on it!
Lets build a Lemons car, anyone have an old rabbit or etc?? I have my old car that I restored 20 years ago, might be a good use for a Superbeetle.

Can it be any kinda car? I know where an 83 gti is but I would hate to destroy it. I have a RUSTED OUT 74 bug here at the shop but I think its a little far gone to be tryin to race.

Speed channel was showing this race this morning. It looked like a lot of fun. One penalty I saw was the 'Bart Simpson'. A guy passed under yellow and had to stop and write "I will not pass under yellow" a hundred times on his car before he could get back on the track.
