Yeah... do unhook everything, dont break anything. Laughing Just kidding. It be a good idea to draw a diagram of where all wires go.

Take the vibrator (little box) off your old speedo and put it on the new one, be sure to clean the connections good.

As far as electrical problems go, this ciruit isnt that complicated. Its a general rule as a mechanic (and in life) if it worked before you messed with it and now it dont you did something wrong. Its like if a car comes in for a tune up and when I get done its skippin, HMMMM Rolling Eyes Theres probably nothing wrong with any parts you just dont have something hooked up right.

HHHHHMMMM !
Your prob right.
But i was very careful not to unplug anything else, and the battery was un hooked.
Swapped wire for wire.
I dun no !
I will do it all over again tonight looking for problems
How does this speedometer ground itself buy the screws that hold it in?
Thanks
Jeff

Well it turned out to be a ground issue !

Thanks Shane for the Fix.
Turned out the new sending unit used plastic washers and was not allowing things to ground properly.
Thanks Clyde for the parts and all the answers on the phone.
Back ob the road with a good speedometer and a working fuel gauge.

Life is good !
