I had a brain fart today. What if you put one of those 7000 BTU portable ACs in your bus/camper and run it off an inverter from your battery for on the road use and pluged it into 120ac for camping. They draw about 7.5 amps. A fairly mild inverter could handle that. You might need to put a little more powerful alternator on instead of the stock generator for road use. A vent could be fabricated for exhausing the hot air out a window or some other orfice. INSTANT AC Too much free time _________________ Ya can't have too many VDUBS.

I made a few portable a/c units from a coleman cooler, 12 volt water fountain pump, heater core, and small radiator fan
Cut the lid of the cooler to fit the heater core, pump cold ice water through it with the fountain pump and use the radiator fan to force the cold air through the heater core. It all works on 12 volts and its portable. Plus your beverages are cold.

I can imagine going down the road in a bus/camper with the windows rolled up when it's 90 deg. outside in the sunlight and trying to cool the inside by blowing air over a box of ice cubes with a small fan would be about as impressive as passing gas in a wind storm. Wheew! I'm out wind after that long rant. If that will work, here's one ready made.

Actually I have one of these but haven't tried it yet. _________________ Ya can't have too many VDUBS.
