Are the Thing exterior door handles common to any other aircooled? My pass front has issues with latching (been this way for 20+ years) and will only stay latched if it is locked. May take it apart this weekend to see excatly what is up. |

Mine had issues staying closed too. I took them out and gave them a good cleaning with brake cleaner, then lubed them up and put them back. They all work like new now. _________________ 73 Typ481

Also check the striker adjustment. It may be set a little too tight or out of alignment. As Jon says, it probably just needs cleaning and lubrication. _________________ Ya can't have too many VDUBS.

Had a little free time last night so I played with the door handles. Just like Jon said, they worked great after cleaning a couple of decades of crud from them. Thanks for the advice! |
