Only got to work on it 1/2 day this weekend (paying job Saturday and today included truck oil change plus mowing the lawn...... so . . .. . I was able to soda blast the trans mount in preparation for powder coating....
also got the dash top blasted to bare metal .....
then primed the bottom side white so that future wiring may be a little easier to see...
after etch priming the top, it was sprayed with satin black (in the next pic, paint is still wet) when dry, it won't reflect the light as bad as gloss.
also got the rest of the ceiling covered in dynamat and the locking latch installed on the engine bay lid..... _________________ '58 RHD 2110cc Beetle

Got some more of the engine put together today.........
Since I decided to go with the 72-74 exhaust setup I spent time today getting that particular tin ready for powder coating. Progress is slow, but steady now. More to follow...... _________________ '58 RHD 2110cc Beetle

fuel tank before cleaning . . . . . .

fuel tank compartment insulated now. . . . .

Got the tank in, still gotta connect the gauge wires, vent tubes and filler neck, but it's in there......
Got the front half of the heater ducts cleaned and reinstalled too....
Slowly but surely.........
