As many of you know, last year I had Colin, the Itinerant Aircooled travelling repair guru visit my house and help me with many issues my bus had. His 2013 plans bring him to our area in August. I am planning to sign up for a day and thought I would give everyone a heads up so you can sign up too if you are interested.

If you are not familiar with what Colin does, here is the link to his website: http://www.itinerant-air-cooled.com/

If you don't want a full day, he will split the day if two people want his help and live close to each other.

I felt like it was money well spent and I'll gladly do it again. Colin will help with all aspects of your bus. Wiring, fuel injection, brakes, suspension, tune up, window rubber,....you name it.

I'm going to have him help with the Single cab - brake rebuild and front end maintenance.

Your opinion may vary. Cool

Maybe I should see what he thinks about the 74 Westy? It has a weird sound that isn't characteristic of a VW.

Hey folks. Just doing a drive by and saw this post. I have had Colin to my place twice here in RI and he is something else. I would highly recommend him to any novices for sure, but as for anyone interested in the general how to, what if, and the various and sundry relationships and workings of everything VW he is the guy. Aside from Jake I have never personally met someone so knowledgeable with ACVW's. He is an absolute philosopher on the subject and a walking database. I believe that with some discussion you might be able structure a tech weekend around his visit for several interested parties. I am trying to get him to do a pre-itinerary visit with me before he heads south. I do not think it will work, but it would be nice. Be well gentleman and happy driving...

Just checked Colin's calendar and it is filling quickly; also he has changed Georgia to August. If you want some guidance from him, but aren't sure what you want to have help with, let me know asap and maybe we can get Colin to work with a group of us on general bus issues.

I'd like to get him to help me tune the FI on my bus. Not enough for a whole day though. Anyone else want in?
