I'd like for someone to checkmy work, so I set the timing on the bus at 28 degrees BTDC with both hoses off and plugged. When I plugged hoses back in, I had a total advance of 35 degrees and an idle of 12 degrees ATDC.
The thing that concerns me is that I had to open up the air bypass valve on the throttle body to get it to idle (around 800rpm) Any and all thoughts welcome _________________ 1969 Beetle

With vacuum you will have this 35-36* of timing, but not under load. _________________ Jake Raby
