Buff the middle of the roof and put a flag or big VW decal on it, like this one

Hey there folks. I am back and I am in. My list includes (if not done by Volkstock):
1. Inspect lug nuts
2. Work on persistent timing/vac leak/poor running issue (HELP?)
3. Inspect rear brakes and figure out the squealing on the passenger side
4. Reinspect lug nuts
5. Install new engine bay seal
6. Install engine compartment blower fan
7. Install electronic ignition
8. Install side marker light that PO fiber-glassed over
9. Figure out why tach does not work
10. Replace fuel line behind firewall and inspect the interior there
11. Possibly install DD CHT gauge
12. Inspect lug nuts, again
That should do it. Any and all help is appreciated... _________________ "A vision without a task is a dream - a task without a vision is drudgery- but a task with vision can change the world."

Of course, you're supposed to finish buffing (GREG!) after I get it started. _________________ '58 RHD 2110cc Beetle

If we can get James there to lead us through the back corners it would be a good time to do it.
How about it James? Can you make it back to this side of town? |
Ill be there. And would be happy to help with the canvas. I am interested in replacing my front window on the bus.
Clyde do you have a Bay front window in stock? _________________ 1963 Beetle

If Joe and Johnny come, replacing your windshield will be easy. They did mine in about 5 minutes. Joe told Steve and I to step back and watch. They have it down. _________________ 73 Typ481

I can comment on JOE and his familiarity with Windows and Rubber....
Last year he installed the rear window and rubber in SLEDGE and it hasn't leaked yet. I rate him A+.
TEAM JOE and proud to admit it!!

Sorry James, the Bay windshields are on indefinite backorder... I have 9 coming whenever they come back on the market. IF they come back. I have the seal in stock.
Wilson and I will be there. We're skipping Tannehill for it. _________________ '69 Bug, 1776, dual kadrons, Web 111 cam

I may be dog sitting that weekend, but I still should be able to make it during the day Saturday. Luckily I am off work that weekend (at least for now). _________________ Give me a salad & a PBR please |

So things are prceeding on the pre volkstock do-to list. I got the pop-top painted. I think I like the white...I went with a glossy look and I think it fits. I cut out all the old cavass but I left where/how it mounts to the top and roof. I've cleaned up the area. The wood appears to be in good shape except for one section up front. Not sure what to do there.
What types of supplies/tools/beer do I need to bring to get the project completed
James, you still in to help? let me know your price _________________ 1969 Beetle
