Posted: Fri Sep 06, 2013 5:25 pm Post subject: SATURDAY SEPT. 14 SHOW & FACILITY TOUR! |
|
|
We recently opened a brand new VW stand-alone parts & service center here in sunny Bogart Georgia, on Old Monroe Rd, behind the VW showroom building. Our new General Manager, Spencer Bridges, would like to invite everyone to see the facility on Saturday September 14 (no game that day)
We are trying to do something similar to what Stone Mountain VW is doing. We will have lunch, and have everyone tour our new digs.
Did I mention airconditioned shop? And, one BigAss fan!
So, shine up your rides, and come on over, Saturday Sept 14, probably beginning around 9AM.
I've been so busy working that I haven't had time to wash my own! _________________ 63 Beetle |

We will put the word out and wash up the VWs. It is a nice change to see a dealership embrace the aircooled heritage of the company. _________________ 73 Typ481

I'll try to find the time to clean the cobwebs out of the idle jets on Beth's vert and we'll try to make it. _________________ Jake Raby

Little J and I will be there. Steve is planning to come as well as Rick.
I spoke to Spencer today and in addition to Saturday's Open house he would like us to meet there quarterly for breakfast or lunch. He said that there are a couple of techs there with air cooled experience.
Bob, Spencer said we should come in the service drive to the right and he would have a parking area for us. Where is the service drive? Is it off the Atlanta Hwy or where?
I know several folks will be going to Flowery Branch, but I am looking forward to this event. _________________ 73 Typ481

Hmmn, I bet none of them know what a VW Iltis is. That would be interesting :-) _________________ Jake Raby

Directions:
We are located immediately behind the Nissan building. From Jimmy Daniel Rd. turn left on Atlanta Hwy, continue a little way & turn left at the Real Easy used car lot & junkyard. This is Old Monroe Rd. We are at the top of the hill. Turn left into the driveway
at the VW sign. Parking will be on the right.
From Hwy 78, turn right on Old Monroe Rd, across from the Hertz equipment rental place. Continue down Old Monroe Rd, we will be on the right.
If you miss that turn off 78, take the ramp by the Pepsi warehouse, and turn right into Stonehenge, the left at the stop sign.

I plan to be there in my Thing. It may not be spotless as I will be at The Georgia State Bar all day Friday. Trying to get my tax papers to the accountant today, and get equipment loaded and ready to leave at 4:15 AM tomorrow.
