We haven't put plans together yet. Who is going Friday? What time do you (whoever you are) want to leave?
I may take Friday afternoon off and go with the Friday crew. person? by myself????
Clyde, you're going on Friday aren't you?
Who all is planning to go, either on Fri or Sat? _________________ 73 Typ481

Here's a run down of what we have so far....
We're gonna start the pig Friday night around 7PM or so. Cat is going to make a big ole pot of chili, we will have some other snacks too.
Saturday afternoon we will be chopping up the pig and relaxin until the evening time. So far this is what we will have, homemade hash & rice, baked beans, cole slaw, potatoe salad, deviled eggs, mac & cheese, and some dessert.
We are taking donations, and you are more than welcome to bring a favorite dish as well.
We don't have any plans made for breakfast, but we can caravan to the Huddle House which is only about 5 minutes from our house.
For those that are tent camping, in case of inclement weather, we have Cat's crafts shop and the car shop that will hold 4-5 tents. You just need to bring an air mattress, that concrete gets a little hard.
Y'all are welcome to use the shower in the house if you want too.
We look forward to seeing y'all. _________________ 73 Super

I'll get there late in the afternoon Friday and help with the pig. Plan on crawling up in the bus after it comes off the pit and get a few winks. I'll duck out for a couple hours in the morning but be back in time to chop meat. Di will come out Saturday after work and we plan to camp Saturday night. Looking forward to it. Hope the weather cools a bit and doesn't you-know-what. _________________ '67 Westy (Ursula)

I plan on going down on Friday. I'll leave at any time that works for the rest of you, but I do want to set up my tent before dark. I don't want to be this year's Knox. _________________ 73 Typ481

Hey
I am going to be bringing my wife and child with me for the event. Is anybody else bringing young ones. My kid is 3.5 yr old and it would be great to know if there will be anyone for him to play with. As far as I know I will be coming down friday afternoon. Clyde I would like to meet up with you and anybody else that is coming to form a carovan friday. I will have to work a half day friday but should be ready around 4:00 - 5: Pm. The easyest way for me to get to Agustia is to take HWY 11 to I20 and ride it all the way to the event. But if anybody Knows a faster more VW friendly way to go, I am all ears. Just remember my poor bug only has 30hp and leeks like an old man. |

There will be a couple of small ones here.
It might be better to take HWY 78 to Thompson then get on I20. This is the way we use when we ride up there and it's only about 2 1/2 hours. See ya'll Friday. _________________ 73 Super

Sounds good. I have never been that way. but It does look to be a little shorter. It puts me driving around Athens which would be easier to meet up with the carovan. Thanks |

My plans have changed. I'll now be leaving around noon on Saturday with Steve. We'll probably camp Saturday night.
Either way I'll have the brownies with me. _________________ 73 Typ481

My wife and I were wondering if the pig in pit event would be pet friendly. We usualy leave my dogs with a neighbor when we are going out of town. But I just learned the neighbor is going to be out of town too. |

Yep as long as they get along with other dogs and our outside cat. _________________ 73 Super

My wife (Di) and I are bringing our two golden retrievers. They love kids and other dogs. I'm camping Friday night, no dogs, and Saturday night with the whole menagerie.
Joe can I bring some shag balls and my clubs if I promise to pick 'em all up? We've got horse shoes, washers, rail rides, frisbees, maybe an ATV or two. What else? _________________ '67 Westy (Ursula)
