Dyno day is at 261 Clover Reach, in Peachtree City, 30269. Times: 9am to 3pm

Racetrac is 42 Raceway Dr., Reynolds, Ga. 31076. Times: 8am to 5ish

Looks like about 2 hrs from Athens to Allspeed, and about 2 hrs from Allspeed to the racetrack.

Wow, it took till this morning for me to rest enough to have the energy to post. Shocked It was a great weekend of VW stuff. Dyno Day was cold, but very entertianing. It is amazing how much horsepower these VW engines can be built to produce. The top 'home built' engine produced 170 HP at the rear wheels. There was a good crowd and Jake was handing out money and prizes to everyone but me. Crying or Very sad

Saturday night we met up with the Augusta crowd at the hotel in Byron. We all ate Mexican and then headed to the laundry room for some beer drinkin and story tellin. (We don't usually hang out in such places, but the parking lot was too cold). After it was determined that if Joe doesn't have Beetle Bug ready for the Poker Run he will cease to exist, we headed for our warm rooms. (made warmer by the fact we had Mexican for dinner  )

Sunday was beautiful from the start. A good number of the Athens club made it down. Gary even unvieled his 'secret project' and won first place with it. Good job Gary. I'll let Gary tell what it is or maybe he'll just drive it Sunday's meeting at Loco's. Beth Raby had her silver Vert in the show. She won two trophys. Trophys are the only reason Jake and Beth came to the show. They should feel fulfilled now. Laughing Seriously, when you see her car, you'll know why it won. It is awesome.
The drag racing was fun as always, but the sunburn was NOT. ( note to self..take sunscreen even in March Embarassed ) We had a good ride home, but I was beat.

Can't wait for the next show. Exclamation
