Can anyone recommend shops or individuals in the area that rebuild/rebush early VW carburetors? I have a 30 PICT-1 with a leaky throttle bushing. Thanks! _________________ 1960 Mango Green Beetle

This guy is in Monticello. http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=518615 I don't know anything about him.
Clyde may be able to rebush it. I know he can rebuild them. _________________ 73 Typ481

I realize this is an old thread but that guys name is Keith and he rebuilt & rebushed a couple of carburetors for me and they have been running great. He also does other jobs on volkswagen if you inquire about it. _________________ •71 Super Beetle 1600DP, H30/31, 009, Bosch Blue

Just got my carb back from keith. So THAT is how my beetle is supposed to run! He did a great job and had a quick turn around since he knew I needed it for bugapalooza. I would recommend him to anyone needing a carb cleaned or rebushed. |

I might have paid too much ($100) but he rebushed it, put in a new welsh plug (I think that is what it's called), derusted it and dipped it in a ultrasonic bath. It looks and drive like a brand new carb. Plus once he knew we were going to bugapalooza, he put a rush on it. |

If it is an original Solex German carb, $100.00 isn't too much. _________________ 73 Typ481
