I can't make it that weekend either. I'll be working a trade show most likely. I thought at the meeting Sunday we were shooting for the last weekend.
Whatever works best for the most people is cool. I just may have to sit this one out. _________________ 73 Typ481

Either one of the weekends work great for me 20th-22nd or 27th-29th. But I suggest we make a decision so reservations can be made. If you are interested in going to the camping trip please post what weekend works for you. _________________ 1963 Beetle

The weekend of the 27-29 leads into the week of the 4th of July. I'd imagine the campgrounds will be crowded that weekend. (I know it was my suggestion) _________________ 73 Typ481

Either weekend, the 20th or 27th, will jive with my schedule at this point... What is up with this? According to the calendar it is the weekend of the 21st... _________________ "A vision without a task is a dream - a task without a vision is drudgery- but a task with vision can change the world."

I probably can't make this trip, but for the sake of getting a date set, I'd say the weekend of the 21 is the best one. As jimbear pointed out, it is already on the calendar for that date.
So here it is: Camping trip June 20 -22.
As for where, jimbear posted the location in his first post. The rest of the planning is up to you folks who are going. _________________ 73 Typ481

Due on the 21st? You guys should come. Now THAT would be a tech day! _________________ '67 Westy (Ursula)

20th and the 21st is it, so says Jon. I'm getting the reservations. See you guys there.
Does anyone have tech needs before the trip? Maybe we could plan a small tech day or one on one if someone needs help. _________________ 71 Standard Beetle "Big Bird"

Looking for a quick reply and head count on this!!!!!!!
The Rabun Beach Campground has a Group Site that will service 40 people+ and/or 8 to 10 camp sites (tents and gear). It is $35.00 a night (for the site, NOT per person) and might work out better and get us close. The area is call The Pear Tree Hill. My contact is Ranger John Widgery 706-490-1246.
Let me know if this is doable and I might be able to have him hold it if we can promise a group. The entire park is first come first serve so it would be nice to have an shoe in. _________________ 71 Standard Beetle "Big Bird"

Diane and I will be there in the bus with the two dogs. Is there electricity available in that section? _________________ '67 Westy (Ursula)

Anyone interested in going into Helen and tubing? For more information....check out the website of Cool River Tubing.... www.coolrivertubing.com . I figure if the men are doing a "tech day" type thing...the ladies could take the midgets (or children as they are better known as)...
Stand by for a message from Korbin.....

There is a tubing place right around the corner from the CG and there is Lake Rabun a short walk or a shorter drive from the CG. There is also a little general store a few miles up from the CG that have beer and BBQ samiches. I am up in the air on this now as Brew Bus is only a little ways further up the road....hmm... _________________ "A vision without a task is a dream - a task without a vision is drudgery- but a task with vision can change the world."
