My wife and I are really looking forward to it. And thanks Scott for having the time and Patience to deal with the reservation. _________________ 1963 Beetle

Me, Di, Joe and Johnny are coming up from Augusta Friday. Di and I will be camping in the bus and Johnny and Joe will pitch a tent next to us. I still don't know if there's electricity available in that section. I went on the Rabun Campground site but didn't find that information.
Joe and I talked about doing a low country boil, maybe for Saturday night. Would anyone like to do something like that and add to the pot or to each his own? Does everyone want to pitch in on some food and cook for everybody or fend for yourselves? I've been to a few Full Moon campouts and I love the pot luck dinners and breakfastes'es. _________________ '67 Westy (Ursula)

OK Here it is! I HAVE reservations. I made them with Dick Smith, the camp guru. It is $48 a night for the Pear Tree Hill location. I have it reserved for the 20th and 21st. The actual site has a fire ring, four camping pads and tons of flat ground. I quizzed him on the size and he said he just had a pack of 150 plus on this site. There is plenty of room for 20+ tents and room to park several campers/rv's/VW's.
For the Westy campers needing power. There are four sites with 120 about 100 yards away from Pear Tree Hill and they are $22 a night.
I have it reserved under Scott Burel / Athens VW Club.
We plan to leave Friday after work.

As Jon said we are planning on doing a low country boil. If anyone would like to pitch in some shrimp and sauage and join us that would be great. We have enough taters and corn.
We are thinking about leaving here around lunch time. See ya'll there. _________________ 73 Super

I'll chip in on food for everybody.........since Scott doesn't sleep maybe he has time to coordinate a list so we don't double or triple up on ingredients ........I mean, now that the reservation is taken care of, what else is he going to do with his time (just messin wit ya Scotty), but seriously, what items (beside shrimp) are needed for this boil you are talking about
ps
Hey everybody! I'm Ted (by the way).......hopefully I'll be meeting some of yall at the next meeting, but definitely at the campout _________________ Ted Mierzwa

The shimp and sausage is the most eaten. The corn and potatos is just extra stuff. _________________ 73 Super

The club has plates, napkins, ketchup, mustard & relish. Someone ought to bring a box of plastic forks & maybe knives. and a trash bag or two to tie up in a tree. _________________ '69 Bug, 1776, dual kadrons, Web 111 cam
