Who is going down SATURDAY morning? I'm now going Saturday morning due to the forecast for Friday night. Am I wimping out due to cold and wet weather?...........HELL YES. Driving down in building darkness, in a car with NO heat and ample leaks, just doesn't sound like fun.
I'm planning to leave at 8 or 9:00am so I can be there to help chop the B-B-Que. Who else wants to cruise down together? Post up and lets make a plan. _________________ 73 Typ481

We are a two bus pokey caravan but if you are willing we will cruise. Let me know! _________________ 71 Standard Beetle "Big Bird"

I had planned on going down Hwy 78 and hit I-20 at Thompson. If enough people want to run down 441 to Madison and meet up with ya'll there, I'm game. _________________ 73 Typ481

Here is my plan.....I'm going to the Big Easy around 8:00am and eat breakfast. When Scott calls me and tells me they are about 45 minutes from Madison, I'll head out and meet them at The T/A truck stop at 441 and I-20. Anyone wants to travel with me, meet up somewhere along this path.
Anyone who just wants to eat at the Big Easy, I'm shooting to be there at 8:00am. _________________ 73 Typ481

No worries about "wimping" out. The weather is sucking Friday- although around here we're happy to get any rain we can get. I'm heading out to Joe's in a little bit, but no dogs and no wifey tonite. Driving a hundred miles to set-up and sit around in the rain was fun way back when, but I was young, dumb and full 'o .... well, you know. For those coming down early in the morning Saturday, the pig may still be on the spit or just coming off. So bring a good knife and feel free to help chop! One good thing is that with the rain tonight, we can crank up the bon-fire a little bigger Saturday night.
See you Saturday and be safe driving down. _________________ '67 Westy (Ursula)

We will be there sometime in the afternoon. Got some errands on Saturday morning, and need to go by the shop for a little while.
Can't wait to see everyone again _________________ 63 Beetle |
