OK...we have the dates! It will be August 1 2 & 3. This way we don't run into conflicts with Inge's job of dog sitting and we don't put it off till the Dawgs start playing.
I hope you can make it on one or all of these days Jake.
There will be plenty of space to camp or sleep inside either at Ken's or Gary's house. We'll order pizza on Friday night and cook-out Saturday night. Sunday morning we'll cruise to Golden Corral in Winder for breakfast. Bring other snackin/eaten food and your favorite beverags.
When I find out Jake's plans, I'll post the time for the other tech events. _________________ 73 Typ481

We'll let you leave for the race Jake. I had to leave last year to take my Mom home from the hospital. Everyone was cool with it. Everyone cleaned parts, painted tin, rebuilt the carb, etc... while I was gone. _________________ '69 Bug, 1776, dual kadrons, Web 111 cam

LOL..
Our races aren't short little 1/4 mile sprints.. We arrive Thursday, Practice Friday, qualify Saturday and race on Sunday.... And it would be out of state..
Speaking of that, we have a local race at Road Atlanta the 3rd weekend of this month, if you guys want to come see us.. _________________ Jake Raby

Glad to hear it Joe...It will be nice to have someone this weekend that knows about VW's -
Unfortunately, I don't think "SLEDGE" will be receiving any special attention this weekend. Go Figure!!
See ya next weekend! |

How bout' that.....Jon, Mary and Lil' Jon are in the house!!
(Or should I say the camper).....Glad to see you periodically monitor the club website!
I have your names and reservation for our deluxe travel trailer (25')complete with water, electric and for a small fee - tv with cable or our selection of adult only dvd's. One question, the credit card # you left with reservations came back as a stolen/cancelled card.
Should I be concerned??????
The list is growing....

2). Inge
3). Joe
4). Jon
5). Mary
6). Lil' Jon |

Jon - We got your message last night...Verykind of you to offer, but we got it under control. Even talking my wife into a NEW GRILL for the pool area - YES!! Setup could be as early as this afternoon.
We knocked out the grass and yard earlier this week including the field area so I think we are good to go. Inge is planning on washing the exterior of the house - (Darn spiders!!) and I am concentrating on cleaining/emptying the shop out completely tomorrow. Could get up to 4 cars in there at one time if needed.
Remember everyone....PIZZA provided by the host/hostess Friday evening....Might even throw a salad in there to make it sound nice for the ladies!!
6 days and counting... |
