Hope there's going to be a caravan from Atlanta. Maybe we could meet up with those guys at Discover Mills. Can't leave ATL until around noon anyway. |

Jon,
I'm up for going the scenic route this year myself. Friday at 10:00am works for me. Why don't we meet at your house and go from there? Anybody else up for cruising Hwy 53 form bishop to Winder to Oakland thru Dahlongea, etc.? Anybody want to meet us along the way? _________________ Steve

Joey has a group meeting at his shop for a 9:00 am departure time on Friday. They are going up 53 and have a 40 hp and a 36 hp car in their group. Steve and I will probably hook up with them. _________________ 73 Typ481

I dialed the cam in on Beth's engine today.. With any luck it'll be on the dyno Tuesday night and we'll be rolling to BAP on Friday! _________________ Jake Raby

Well, actually I didn't finish the cam timing on Saturday... It was more like half way finished, I actually got up at 0400 this morning and went back for another round at it... It kicked my ass!
Its not looking good to get the beast finished.. Way too many distractions today and I didn't get enough done... _________________ Jake Raby

I thought you had a mandate to get it finished for the show. You don't want to make the boss mad. _________________ 73 Typ481

Yeah, but attention to detail is what the car is all about.. If I throw the engine in to make the event I'll be as bad as all the half ass rushers I bitch about all the time!

BP was a blast this year. There were more people and pets camping than I have ever seen!
I was rummaging around the other day and found some old photos.
This snapshot is of Mom, Dad, and Uncle Toad at the first Bug-a-paluza! Dad had an old squareback, Mom enjoyed the camping and company, while Uncle Toad loved to drink!
It doesn't look like much has changed since then. It's still a blast!

I've got an extra fold up bag chair someone left at our campsite. ID it and it's yours.
If unclaimed, it will become a poker run prize _________________ '69 Bug, 1776, dual kadrons, Web 111 cam

It's mine. It folds up, has a fabric back and seat, a fabric bag with a string at the top and a cup holder on the left...................no, the right. _________________ 71 Standard Beetle "Big Bird"
