What is a 912e long block without any trappings (dist, FI, etc.) worth if it turns? Anyone? Mr. Raby? http://rochester.craigslist.org/pts/1201406265.html

I have see engines of that same description $300 to $1000 so that might not be a bad deal. I'd see if Raby ha s a word on it. I hate for you to get it and it need one of those things that only Porsche makes and they are almost NLA an cost $10,000.

The CR is too high for a Bus and the heads are the weakest of all.. They are good power makers in a lightweight sports car..

It comes from a car just like my white 912, one of the most rare street Porsches ever made.. Only 2099 were made.

This is not the best choice for a Bus, but that probably is a good deal.

I say we build jimbear an engine over a couple of tech weekends.. I have enough good used parts that all he'd have to do is spend some money on bearings and have Len freshen up the heads..
