Jake's father passed away sometime during the night last night.
A viewing will be held at Alexander's Gateway Funeral home in Cleveland Sunday evening from 6 - 8pm and a graveside service will be held on Monday afternoon.
Please keep Jake in your thoughts and prayers as he mourns the loss of his beloved dad (aka "dude") _________________ Beth Raby |

Man, I really hate to hear that Jake and Beth. What a great man. I really enjoyed chatting with him this past Spring at your shop. He was really hoping that golf cart would squeeze out a couple more hp's on the dyno! He was a great conversationalist. A first time conversation with him was as easy and comfortable as speaking with someone that you've known for years.
Even the tough guys need rest. Harry will always be with you...in your heart, your mind, your actions, and the way you conduct and live your life. Jake, this may not be comforting now, since I'm sure that you're in a surreal state of mind, but you'll always care a large piece of his soul inside of you.
R.I.P. Harry Raby! I'll remember your firm handshake. _________________ Steve

No one that shook his hand could ever forget it... Until his final day he had a grip like none other...
Thanks for these kind words, guys.. Anyone from the club is welcome to attend the viewing and/ or graveside service. The viewing is from 6-8 PM on Sunday evening.
Having my Dad at the tech day this past Spring was very memorable for me.. Does anyone have any pics of him from that day they can share?
Thanks for all the kind words guys, while my real family has always been small, my VW family is huge. _________________ Jake Raby

Jake, at 8:02 into the video Scott posted on you-tube, your Dad is in a chair talking to Beth.

What a long and wonderful life that man had. I have heard many stories of Harry from Jake and like many, had the pleasure of meeting him on a few occasions. His mark left here on earth will soon heal the pains of his passing. God bless Jake and family.

I only spoke with your dad for a few moments at the tech day...sorry for your loss Jake and Beth. I remember thinking how cool it was that he was hanging out with all of us strangers. He seemed like a nice man. _________________ "A vision without a task is a dream - a task without a vision is drudgery- but a task with vision can change the world."
