I'm there! My '71 bus is available for any type of tech session.
Things I want to do with expert supervision:
* Get the VDO tach working properly. Did you know that a type1 1835 can rev to 10k RPM all day? So the tach says anyway.
* I have a newly rebuilt Hurst shifter that shifts like rowing a toothpick through a turd. Maybe bushings, adjustment, who knows? It is pretty, though.
* Gotta get the fan shroud properly secured. Really is starting to make an ominous noise. Clyde said the engine has to come out for that. Anybody game? I can bring jack and all tools.
* Got a bunch of door seals, window felt, scrapers, trim, new vent windows and frames, etc to install. Gotta get this baby dry inside before I start the pretty stuff.
Otherwise, anything you can come up with would probably be a benefit to my bus. Maybe a search for the cause of very sporadic stalling when decelerating from high(er) RPM. I'm betting carb.
Jake, can I GPS your shop address or are you off the map like me?

We will probably have a cruise from Athens to Jake's.

Details of the BBQ when we get closer.. My Nephew and I will have to make a trip to South Florida to kill some of it, so the variety will depend on how well I shoot.. My last trip my aim wasn't too good...

Let's get some planning done for what we hope to get accomplished. Other than dynoing, this is the list so far:
Sam's bus- several issues to look at.
Brakes- Greg, Tito (you still around?), Cave Man
Carb tuning- Scott, Jon
Anyone else wanting to do work, please post it here so we can work out a schedule.
If you are going to need parts for your tech work, please call Clyde and get them ordered asap.
