I recently swapped out my coil and spark plug wires. I replaced the old copper core wires with good quality bosch copper core wires. Afterward, I got a buzzing in the stereo. Has anyone else had this problem?

I'm not sure about this, but I think it may be more from the coil than the wires. I'm using the same wires with no buzz. If you still have the old coil, throw it back on and see what happens.

I thought it was from using non resister plug wires. radio picks up the static.

That's a good thought. How could I tell if they came with a resistor? I didn't see anything in the item description.

Seems like the wires used to have "radio suppression" written on them. Just checked the wires on my shelves: no mention of radio suppression anywhere. My Bosch plugs don't mention it either... hmmm. Question

I think it's noise surpressor, it goes inline between the 12+ source and the radio. I'm hoping to find the source of the problem since I just got my radio wiring all nice and purdy.

Correct. It is a line suppressor. You can get it from the www.chromeglow.com on the picture or from radio shack or a stereo shop. You ground and mount the unit and then splice in the (constant) side of your radio power, not the switched side.

back in the day when I used to build car stereos cranck-it-up contest, we used to have lots of problem. it is mainly a grounding problem. the noise surpressor ,my help but chack all grounds. if you have an amp or eq (yes they still make them) it will be way worse. start off by making sure you have bare metal for your ground . let us know how it goes

ok, I've been able to trace it down to an old amp I'm using. I've checked the grounds on both the radio and amp and they are both clean. I moved the radio ground wire over to the amp ground, so far nothing has made any difference Does the amp need to a good ground where it mounts to the car?

is the amp close enuff to ground to the back of the radio were you put in a brace strap. sometimes what you have is what is called a ground loop. by going to the back of the radio you funnel all to one ground.

If the plugs are starting to foul the resistance they see increases.. that increase can create this issue. The energy has to go somewhere.
