You can take me off the list. I will not be going. Got to go out of town on buisness. I was given no notice. Hope everybody has a good time.
Later

I had a great time ! I only wished I hadnt waited so long to come to RAT tech day. Jake your the man. I have been a mechanic for 20 yrs but I would say you have probably forgoten more about T1 T4 & Porsche stuff then I know. I enjoyed the dyno stuff. I have never even seen a dyno in person before. I can't wait til next year to do it again ! The dyno test and tune stuff is really interesting to me. I could do that all day. I wish I could have stayed around for the engine dyno stuff. Anyway, thanks to Jake and Beth for allowing us to invade your livelyhood and feeding us too. See you all soon _________________ Shane Price

No problem.. You impressed me as well. What you were doing during tuning was spot on, I am not used to seeing that.
Too bad Lee couldn't have been here yesterday, he has already laid down 475 HP so far today.. Thats an unreal show that a few guys got to see that remained through the night and today..
This event was different than last year, but we had a better time I believe this year. Here are some stats:
Last year we dynoed 9 member cars, this year we dynoed 13 member cars..
Last year one car left with issues and we were fighting problems till 0200 on Sunday morning. This year everyone left better than they arrived and we were done working by midnight.
Next year will be the ultimate with the paving done and all the landscaping we'll have another door at the back of the shop and a board walk between the buildings where both lifts will be located.. More lift time for everyone that way as well as a better place to hang out in a central location to all the activities.
I had fun, the Athens crowd always picks up behind themselves and the shop is damn near as clean as it was Saturday morning.. No one is demanding and everyone is respectful of what we have worked for.
I am just glad to have a place I can share with people just like Beth and I. _________________ Jake Raby

much fun, Thanks again Jake for opening your shop to all of us, the time on the dyno was invaluable. I never would have thought to check to make sure the jets were the correct size. Many thanks to Shane as well. I really appreciated all his hard work with my front bakes and changing out the jets. There were times I was amazed at the amount of vw knowledge we had in one building this weekend I look forward to next year! |

And thanks for the help with the brakes they work great. Now to put on the late model Master Cyl for a lil more wow for all the go. _________________ 1962 "Red Rocket" 2110 Toy
